Dr. George Zarb

Dr. George Zarb was born and raised in Toronto, and earned a Dental Degree in 1992 from State University of New York at Buffalo. After a year in residency at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center, NY, he returned to Toronto to teach part-time at the University of Toronto Dental School and to work in private practice.

In 1995, Dr. Zarb moved with his young family to pursue specialty training at the School of Dentistry, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his Masters Degree and Certificate in Prosthodontics in 1998.

Remaining in North Carolina until 2009, Dr. Zarb built a full-time Prosthodontics practice focused on restoration and replacement of missing teeth with dental implants, crowns and bridges, dentures and veneers - he also treated many patients' general dental needs. He served as an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in addition to lecturing frequently throughout the Southeastern United States.

In 2009, Dr. Zarb had the opportunity to return to Canada and transition to caring for his retiring father's Prosthodontic patients (from his long-standing practice on Belmont Street, Toronto). Dr. Zarb and his wife, Julia, moved to Toronto with their three daughters, Clare, Madeline and Olivia. The family's homecoming has been joyful and all have been happily reconnecting with their Canadian roots and enjoying life in Toronto near friends and extended family.

Dr. Zarb is proud to join with Dr. Kim Harrop in the delivery of patient-centered dental care at the Balmoral Dental Arts Practice. They are also joined, on occasion, for consultation by Dr. George Zarb Sr., whose distinguished career in Prosthodontics enables the team to have even greater insight into patient needs and treatments.
